Batonga Handwoven Basket
Perfect for decorative storage or a stunning wall accent, our Batonga Handwoven Basket is the statement piece that you've been craving in your space. Intricately handwoven by the Batonga women in rural Zambia, the artistic design and craftsmanship in each of these baskets represents generations of heritage passed down from mother to daughter.
Each basket takes days to produce and is woven from 100% organic materials such as wild twigs, creeping vines, and palm leaves native to Zambia. The fibers are hand-dyed using natural pigments sourced from leaves and bark.
Due to the handcrafted nature of this basket, natural variations in size and design may occur. These one-of-a-kind differences add to the uniqueness of each basket. The plant-based dyes used to produce this piece may produce a mild odor that will fade within a few days.
Create a decorative statement by filling this piece with candles and knick-knacks. We recommend our hand-poured stoneware candles - Check out our Flora + Fig or Sand + Sage scents.
